Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in the city of Decatur, Illinois. LeAnn Kymes and Krauss, were among the Grammy Award winners who were among the youngest. Alison Maria Krauss is an American singer, songwriter and bluegrass musician. Born on July 23, 1971. As a teenager, she made her debut in the music world and was a winner of local contests as early as 10 years of age and recording her debut album at 14 years old. She signed to Rounder Records in 1985 and recorded her first single album, a solo one in the year 1987. The band invited her to join the group with which she still performs Alison Krauss and Union Station as well as releasing her debut album in the group in 1989.
