Julia Fiona Roberts is the daughter of Betty Lou Bredemus, and Walter Grady Roberts. She was born on October 28, 1967 at Atlanta. Julia Fona Roberts is the fourth generation Roberts that resided in Atlanta. In the early years of his life, her dad became fascinated by theater. As a student at Emory University in 1952 he acted in productions on campus and in Atlanta. He joined the Air Force in 1953 and, while working in Biloxi Mississippi, he was a part of an army production that featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was also in the air force. The couple got married in 2005 and had their first child, Eric Anthony in 1956. Walter was a student at Tulane University at New Orleans In 1957, the city of Louisiana where the couple had left the US Air Force. Walter started working at Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. Walter and Betty Lou started production in 1964 for the local Saturday morning children's show on television called Bum Bum and His Buddies that they self-funded. In 1964, Betty Lou and Walter founded The Actors and Writers Workshop. It lasted for about six years. Lelisa Billingsley who is also referred to as Lisa was born in 1965. Julia Billingsley followed in 1967.
