Julia Fiona Roberts, born October 28, 1967 at Atlanta to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. Julia Fona Roberts is the 4th generation Roberts living in Atlanta. Early in his life, her dad became fascinated by acting. He performed on the Emory University campus in 1952 as well as in various productions in Atlanta. He joined the Air Force in 1953. While working in Biloxi Mississippi, was cast in an army production that featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was part of Air Force. They married in 1955. Their first baby son Eric Anthony, was born in the year 1956. Walter attended Tulane University at New Orleans, Louisiana in 1957 after the couple left the US Air Force. Walter worked for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. In 1960, the couple moved in Decatur Georgia. Walter and Betty Lou started production in 1964 for the local Saturday morning children's television program Bum Bum and His Buddies and their Buddies, which they both funded. They established an Actors and Writers Workshop in that same year. It ran for about six years. They also had Lelisa Billingsley (also called Lisa) as well as Julia (also known as Julie) during this period.
