Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe came from a multicultural family. Born within South London. She's English as well as her father was Nigerian. She was born in the south London Council Estate and went to The Brit School aged 14. In London she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was awarded. At the academy was when she performed in various stage productions, such as King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began acting with Storm Damage. Over the past few years she has appeared in Teachers as well as Doctors. Madekwe made her debut motion picture in the 2007 Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. Her success resulted in her being cast as Elisha in a single-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot, then appear in six episodes Trexx & Flipside in the role of Ollie. In 2008, she landed the part in the role of Bambi in the ITV2 show drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl which aired in three and two series. Madekwe was a part of the comedy How to Lose Friends and to annoy people (2008). A couple of her credits on stage are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe was chosen to play Ashley Davenport for the ABC Drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode show aired only for two weeks on The CW and then it came to an end. In February of 2011, she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe had appeared in all episodes of the series' first two seasons as an regular. But in May 2013, the announcement was made that she would leave the show after her guest appearance on the premiere episode of its third season. From 2014-2016, Madekwe starred as Tituba in the TV series Salem. In June 2012, Madekwe got married to her long-time partner actor Iddo Goldberg. Alongside Secret Diary of a Call Girl they also appeared in tandem on Salem and also he played a part alongside her in the show on TV.
Ashley Leggat, an actress who was twice nominated for a Gemini Award, comes from the large Hamilton family. Her parents, Roy and Patty and the four brothers of her, Brett, Todd, and Bram and Bram, were present. Ashley's athletic brothers were avid baseball players during the summer months and hockey during winters. Ashley did not have the ability to walk, but she danced. At the age of two, she started Baby Ballet and fell in the love. Ashley became a dancer from that moment. Ashley competed in ballet, tap and jazz at the top divisions. Ashley won the best soloist prize at each major dance contest, which included International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among some.
