Rauw Alejandro
Raul Alejandro Olasio Ruiz was born on January 10, 1993. He is known as Rauw Alejandro. He is referred to as "the King of Modern Reggaeton"[2][3and is part of "the new generation" of Puerto Rican urban artists. [4] His debut album, Afrodisiaco, was released in the month of November in 2020. Vice Versa was his second studio album, came out in June 2021. It featured the lead song "Todo de Ti". He has received two Latin Grammy Awards from twelve nominations. Raul Alejandro Ocasio was born on the 10th of January, 1993, in San Juan, Puerto Rico and was raised in Canovanas and Carolina. [4][5] His father guitarist Raul Ocasio, as well as his mother, backing vocalist Maria Nelly Ruiz, introduced him to his musical idols like Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson and Chris Brown. Alejandro and his father stayed for a long time in the United States. They mainly resided in New York City and Miami. Alejandro and Anuel, a fellow Puerto Rican rapper, were childhood pals. They both went to the same high school and took part in classes. [9][10] Alejandro was a skilled dancer in his youth and was an active participant in talent shows. After graduating from high school, Alejandro enrolled at University of Puerto Rico. He was a soccer player between six and twenty. But he eventually quit due to the fact that he did not perform the way he expected. To be scouted for the Premier Development League (PDL) the player moved to Orlando, Florida. Rauw Alejandro is known for his Latin R&B, Latin Reggaeton and rhythmic pop music. Billboard stated that his music "set him distinct" from the growing number of Reggaetones who are influenced by pop. Presley as well as Jackson were influential in the beginning. He was also influenced later by Ricky Martin and Daddy Yankee. He also mentions Ciara as an influence in music.
